American Victims of Abortion Outraged By

Planned Parenthood’s "I HAD AN ABORTION" T-SHIRTS

Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider has introduced a T-shirt, which has American Victims of Abortion outraged.  The T-shirts, sold on Planned Parenthood's web site, proudly state "I HAD AN ABORTION."

"Once again, the callousness and insensitivity of Planned Parenthood provides another example of just how out of touch they are with the reality of abortion and the impact it has on women," said Olivia Gans, director of American Victims of Abortion, an outreach of National Right to Life.   "It is pretty clear that Planned Parenthood puts promoting abortion above concern for women."

The sale of the "I HAD AN ABORTION" T-shirts on Planned Parenthood's web site has become so controversial that Planned Parenthood apparently temporarily removed the item from their online store yesterday.  The T-shirts have since been re-posted for sale on their web site.

"Every abortion not only ends a life, but it can leave a woman emotionally wounded," said Gans.  "The experience of abortion is traumatic and devastating and I am appalled that Planned Parenthood would exploit the tragic experience of women like myself to further their agenda."

NRLC is the nation's largest pro-life organization, with 50 state affiliates including the Vermont Right to Life Committee and has approximately 3,000 local affiliates nationwide.

The Vermont Right to Life Committee works through legislation and education to protect those threatened by abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, and assisted suicide.  This summer, pro-life informational fair booths sponsored by local chapters of Vermont Right to Life will feature banners that read, “Abortion Hurts Women.”
