Annual Ride for Life July 13th

July 2, 2013 By Sharon

The Ride for Life is a motorcycle ride with a purpose – to join with fellow pro-lifers to pray for an end to abortion in front of Planned Parenthood clinics across Vermont and to raise some funds for pro-life efforts!

Planned Parenthood is the single largest provider of abortions in the State of Vermont, in the United States of America and in the world.  In Vermont, Planned Parenthood is responsible for over 90% of the 1,400 abortions each year. The Ride for Life will involve prayer before 6 Planned Parenthood clinics; Newport, Hyde Park, Barre, Rutland, Burlington and the Planned Parenthood Headquarters on 128 Lakeside Avenue in Burlington.

Participants will also be seeking sponsorships in order to raise funds for the Vermont Right to Life Committee. Everyone is invited to join in the ride – pro-lifers with antique cars or with regular cars are invited to join the Ride for Life – decorate your car, wear a pro-life T-Shirt and come along.  And we also invite pro-lifers to meet up with the participants at the various locations to join in prayer at the PP clinics nearest to them.

The 2013 ride routes will kick off in the early morning from three locations in Vermont; NEWPORT, BURLINGTON and RUTLAND.  Bikers, drivers and pro-life participants will stop to pray at Planned Parenthood clinics along each of the three routes.

The three separate routes will come together at the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic on Washington Street in Barre at 12:00pm and then, together, they will ride into Montpelier.  The day will end on the State House lawn with a final prayer before enjoying a luncheon.
