Planned Parenthood Is Expanding Services in Vermont

January 15, 2014 By Staff

The tri-state Planned Parenthood of Northern New England has developed an expansion plan for Vermont.  While Vermont doles out a whopping $1.8 million in federal and state funds annually to Planned Parenthood, neighboring states like Maine and New Hampshire are fed up with Planned Parenthood’s deceptive practices and have cut their funding. New Hampshire also passed a parental involvement law and Planned Parenthood is facing a lawsuit there for illegally prescribing abortion drugs. By comparison, Vermont is rapidly becoming a haven for abortion providers and an even more dangerous place for unborn babies.

Here is what Planned Parenthood of Vermont is doing:

  • First, they will to move their Lebanon, NH abortion clinic to White River Junction, VT. That way Planned Parenthood can provide abortions to New Hampshire and Vermont teens without notifying parents.
  • Second, Planned Parenthood is advertising to hire new providers in order to expand services in parts of the State like Newport, St. Johnsbury, Rutland, Bennington and advertising for a provider of medical abortions in Middlebury.  PPNNE is also using telemedicine services to reach more and more young people.
  • Third, because Planned Parenthood currently has tax-payer funded access to young people, our State’s political leaders have selected them to be part of a team of “navigators” for Vermont’s Health Connect program to the tune of an additional $145,000 in State funds.
  • Fourth, Planned Parenthood of VT has expanded their services and now offer abortions up to 19 weeks of pregnancy…….19 weeks ……when science has determined that an unborn baby can feel pain…..and a mother can feel her baby moving in the womb.  While 10 states have moved to ban abortions when an unborn child can feel pain, Planned Parenthood of VT is offering them in Burlington.

It is simple math for Planned Parenthood: sexualize the youngest teens; expand contraception and abortion services; open more abortion clinics; provide later-term abortions, and it all equals more money in their coffers.  They never care about the dead babies or the broken hearts.
