Public Hearing on unrestricted abortion Wednesday Feb. 6

February 1, 2019 By Staff

Public Hearing on H.57 abortion bill
Wednesday, February 6, 2019, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
State House, Montpelier

The House Committees on Human Services and on Judiciary will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 6, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the well of the House Chamber at the State House in Montpelier on H.57. This extreme legislation declares that an unborn child has NO rights before birth, and abortion is a fundamental right that can’t be restricted in any way. You can read the full bill here.

What can you do?
  • – Come to the Public Hearing! Numbers matter. Your presence is important even if you are unable to testify. If you do want to testify, read important information here about signing up and allotted time. Allow time for parking and try to carpool.
  • – Contact your Representative(s) to express your opposition to H.57 and ask them to vote no on the Bill. Find your Representative(s) contact information here.
  • – Use your social media to raise awareness
  • – Share this information with concerned family and friends

This Bill would allow NO limits on abortion, even at the latest stages of pregnancy; no parental involvement requirements for a minor daughter seeking an abortion; and increased taxpayer funding of abortion. It would even allow late term abortions on viable babies up until birth!

If you would like to read testimony that has been taken on the Bill, it is available here.

      Thank you for taking action!
