In addition, fifteen students received “Runners Up” awards, five in each grade category. Check back here soon to read their essays.

The 2025 Group Prize: There were seven sponsoring organizations who qualifed for the Group prize this year by having at least 5 students submit an essay. A drawing for the $1,000 Group Prize was held and the prize was awarded to United Christian Academy in Newport, Vermont!

Vermont Right to Life Educational Trust will host another essay contest in 2026.

Our Mission

The mission of the Vermont Right to Life Committee is to achieve universal recognition of the sanctity of human life from conception through natural death. In pursuit of that mission, VRLC, through peaceful, legal means, seeks changes in public opinion, public policy, the law, and individual behavior that respect the right to life and reject abortion, euthanasia, and other actions that deny the right to life.
